Who We Are & What We Do

Daneland Housing Group (DHG) For Veterans, Daneland Housing Group (DHG) for Veterans is a California qualified  non-profit 501c3 charitable organization established to assist male Veterans with affordable shared housing.

We are certified by the Sober Living Network as a certified Sober Living provider.

DHG for Veterans was created in 2020  by Ray Jones.  Ray is a native of Kansas City, Mo and he is a Vietnam Veteran.  He volunteered to enter the United States Army to avoid the draft and risk of going to Vietnam.  He completed his basic and advanced infantry training at Ft. Leonard wood, MO and he was sent to Vietnam on February 18, 1970.  Ray remembers flying to Vietnam as his first airplane ride and hearing the ear of combat.  He was stationed in Cam Rahm Bay, South Vietnam.  He achieved the rank of a Specialist 4 and received recognition as an expert with M16 and a metal of service for serving in the Vietnam War.  

He remembers how difficult it was to transition back into a regular routine of life.  He believes that “no Vet should be without a place he can call home, as we were not  homeless when we were recruited. “
